helloooo everyone! orientation has officially ended, yah, sad i know :/ why is it so short!! haha to think that i initially thought orientation was too long and even dreaded it. aiyah but now i miss it :/ esp the days spent with OG cos it was super fun. :/ not that my class is bad, it's very fun too, but i think my class is scary cos made up of very very smart ppl. ohman stresss!! :3 ok but i shall convert this stress to motivation, MOTIVATION!! :D haha!

anyway, these few days will be lectures and alot of free time in between, really slack! and alot of fac dance practices! YAY ARES IS GOING TO WIN POP YEAH! :D i love our fac dance, it's super cool! :D like, really! like, seriously! :D although i'm a really bad dancer. really.

ok, and i still don't really know what cca to join. :O but i shall go try out health and fitness club this wed. and in case you are thinking what i'm thinking, NO, health and fitness club is not tuff(is it this spelling?) club. yep! we do yoga, cool stuff! :D aiyah and maybe i'll try YELP or mentoring club too haha (:

erm erm what else... oh i'm not going back to malaysia this CNY. staying in singapore! yay gambling hahaha! i love it lah! :D ok looking very forward to CNY! and going back to NY to see teachers too! i miss them loads man! :/ and i want to go out with 404-ers too, cos it's like been a long time since i last chatted with them! ahh i miss them! :/ cos nowadays it seems that we are doing everything in our CTs or OGs, and i hardly even get to see my sec 4 friends :/ let's go for kbox soon? haha! :D

2 days break! YAY :D

after spending one week in hwa chong, i realized that hwa chong, or maybe it's just the college side, is very small, not as big as i thought haha. (:

anw! i finally got my hc uniform yesterday! yay! not that i love it very much, just the exhilaration of getting a new set of uniform in place of my old holey ny one i guess! :D anw! after smtp test yesterday, yeeting kaiqing selina szeling and i went to beauty world to get our uniforms! SAW ADRAIN PANG AND CHENG SHU CHENG FILMING! they were like ng-ing alot of time cos from the time we went there to the time we went home they were still filming the same scene i think. wow it seems so tiring! anw, we went to the (spooky) toilet to try the uniforms and we realized yeeting looks like a zookeeper in the uniform HAHA! and selina looks like some liu2 ji2 xue2 jie3! and no i don't look like i'm from hwa chong primary (like there is such a thing) selina! :/ haiz, selina was like saying kaiqing and i look like we're from HC primary. HA HA HA. :3

anw, after that we went to mac to eat ice cream! yay yum yum mcflurry :D

oh back to the smtp test, wah it was horrible, but somewhat expected lah. since they're gonna choose some talented students, the qns cannot be that easy right... haiya but i'm leaving everything to fate now :D whee~ can get in good lor, cannot then nvm! whee~

orientation starting on thurs! can't wait for the o level ppl to come in, can see if there'll be anymore familiar faces! 2 more weeks to play then REAL WORK SETS IN. :( so must treasure it! (:

btw i just realized facebook is not going to charge the whatever fee. and to think i really believed it! :O

i realized it's very boring to stay at home with nothing to do. :/ btw yesterday cao lao shi (from nanyang) called me at my hp and told me to write a recommendation for ji lao shi for the most inspiring chinese teacher award. and just now as i was writing, i realize how nice my ny teachers are and i miss them! :( hc teachers don't seem as nice, (well i may be biased cos i only know them for like 1 week?) but they seem very fierce and stern and serious. :/ well maybe not all the teachers are like that, ahh, like the econs teacher! ok just be positive :)

decided to change blogskin cos i got bored of my old one. but this one is of a different style-- it's simple and... ELEGANT hahaha! yay :D

school this past week has been rather slack and well, good :D i love the short school hours and the somewhat interesting activities they planned for us (: yesterday some random lady suddenly walked up to us and started asking us what we thought of the IP activities, luckily we all gave positive answers cos she later revealed she was like the DEAN who planned all the IP activities for us! was super shocked then cos she totally didn't look like it, i'm so sorry but she really looked like some random student's parent looking for her child or something because of her dressing, haha!

anw! this week has been briefings, math lectures, diagnostic tests etc. The english diagnostic test 2 we had yesterday was quite terrible i think cos it was like more than 1 option could be the possible answer, totally like the new south wales kind, ahh :/ but i thought the essay one was rather okay.

Oh yesterday we had some bio talk by 2 alumni members! was rather intersting, or at least more interesting than i thought it would be, mainly cos the speakers were were animated and thus, entertaining. :D they shared with us their expereinces in their fields of work and more importantly, to encourage us to take bio. and i was also quite inspired and motivated by them to take up a career in the field. :D yay a scientist? or some R&D person? but definitely not a doctor. cos i'm scared of blood and all other gross stuff. yes. (:

oh and let me talk about the canteen food! not that bad as what i heard from seniors, probably because they changed vendors? yah infact i quite like their food, zha jiang mian! :D

ok the weekends are here and time for a break! supposed to go out with eunice and minjie tmr but aiyah eunice suddenly got some workshop until 5 so now everything's still unfinalized. but hope to see them soon! :D ok i shall spend the weekend studying, or rather, browsing through science stuff!

oh and something really random, but i am looking forward to buying new school uniforms and new school tees! ahh :D probably because i'm sick and tired of my hole-y ny uniforms that make me look like i've been bitten by vampires.

hello! :D today was the first day of JC! erm, sort of better than expected cos the day ended really early, at 12pm! i guess life will be good until after chinese new year cos after that is when lessons really start. :/ anw! today i left home with my mum and siblings and reached ny bus stop at 6.45am, so super early i know. then met meihui and went to serene centre macs (to think we thought we were going to island creamery at 7 in the morning!) haha! then had mini class gathering there cum breakfast before going to school at 8am! then the day started off with deputy p's briefing and ENGLISH DIAGNOSTIC TEST! D: wrote an essay and i realized my handwriting's really horrible and wriggly and curly now. D: after that was break then we went to try the canteen food. portion super big, at least for me. :/ then went to tour the school a little before we went back to audi for math lecture on algebra. not too bad lah, cos it's all revision stuff. (: time passed super fast then it was time to go home already!

this one week is IP activities-- all quite slack one cos we get to go to school later than usual, abt 8 to 9am :D then it's all lectures/lessons and diagnostic tests! oh and there's gonna be some science forum too, quite cool! :D

eh btw i don't know what cca to join, seriously D: nvm, shall see again on cca exhibition day.

this holiday i decided to sign up for singing lessons cos i missed choir days, HAHA! but anw, the lessons so far have been quite fun. yesterday i had my 2nd vocal lesson! learnt new techniques such as projection and tuck techniques! and breathing techniques too. quite fun (: and next week we're going to start singing songs already, yay! (:

I decided to post again, although i just posted a few days ago, cos i'm really bored. :/ school has started for the rest, which means my sis and bro are off to school, leaving me at home by myself. and the computer doesn't seem to appeal to me that much nowadays, leaving me with one less thing to kill time with. I know i am supposed to start studying and preparing for JC but hmmm, i don't have the mood to do so, you see, i'm still in holiday mood :D ahh ok i'll try again tmr then. ok off to sleep, this post is rather rubbishy and ranty D:

oh btw! recently JUST watched jay chou's secret and i realized it's a nice show! i especially love the music pieces in it :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010! :D

wow! time passes real quickly and it's already 2010. and i'm going to be 17. that sounds so old :3 anw, i think 2009 has been a really great year, and i've grown alot as a person, i think. (: i'm quite satisfied with my 2009 actually and hopefully 2010 would be even better, though i'm not really looking forward to JC life ahh :/ let's recap some highlights of 09!

1. CCA!
cca this year is very much less hands-on and more of standing at the sidelines guiding juniors/ planning programmes etc. but it was great being a PL of hibiscus patrol! <3 things turned out better than i imagined and i'm proud of my patrol! :D especially the sec 1s, they totally surprised me as they were more chatty than i thought. :D yay! oh and another experience worth reminiscing abt is PGA! the experience really taught me alot of guiding skills and life skills too. it challenged my limits and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. yup, and i definitely do not regret going for it :D

2. 404! <3
Got to know the class better and made more friends this year as compared to last year! Had alot of fun as well with classmates! oh and the 16th dec kbox date with yeeting, selina, meihui, simin, shijie, xinyun was fun!! i wanna go again! :D and looking forward to elekert too! :D

Studies wise, i became more hardworking as well and i am quite happy with my results this year! :D yay :D

3. SMP!!
this year's smp was amazing, though we didn't really attain the results we wanted. but i'm already quite satisfied with what we have achieved (: from not getting a project allocated to us, to finally miraculously finding a mentor, to the completion of project, it was really amazing and AWESOME! working with wang qian was also super fun and funny! she's a really great partner! and i'll miss nanyang poly and the FOOD there! and the uncle there who sells fruit juice, and i'll always order banana milk from him, so often so that he remembers me now :D hahaha! and working with our mentors, Dr Richards and Dr Ng, it was a really great experience and they're so nice! oh not forgetting gwen, who always helps us, too! :D

4. Presenting to HJT!
Wow this should be one of the most hounourable moments of my life so far :D seeing and presenting to the president of PRC. not everybody gets that chance heh? :D preparing for the presentation with the 5 others + teachers was also super fun! yang lao shi is so nice! :D haha :D

5. GCP to new york and boston!
HAHHAA this trip was super fun and an eye opener. never thought that i would get the chance to travel to the US with my friends! Got to meet alot of new friends and know some of my friends better too (: yay! (refer to the previous post for more details)

6. Family trip since eons!
We haven't been travelling since 2 to 3 yrs ago after my father went for his operation! and i haven't been to segamat to visit my grandparents for 2 years! this time we went back to my grandparents' house for 2 days then another 3 days at A'famosa with apeh and family (: it's like a resort, with loads of stuff to do and try. very fun!! playing cards and board games in the villa with cousins and all was also fun! :D

i think that's about all!

ohh nono, how can i forget this part! My first ever working experience where I earned my own money! though it wasn't alot per se, it was a great expereince. I worked as a waitress btw, with shijie. it was a one night thing for some church's christmas function, and guess what! i met germaine there! :D haha anw, it was great fun too and i saw lots of stuff that happens behind the scenes, tsk! :D

ok that's all for now. 2 more weeks to school reopen :/ i don't want!! ohya still have to study for math quiz...

anw, hope that 2010 will be a great year ahead! i shall attempt to list out some resolutions although i'm not really a fan of new year resolutions :D

1. Be focused in everything i do, esp studies wise (:
2. Be more healthy! in terms of both eating habits and exercising habits.
3. Not spend unnecessary time on computer and tv (hmm this is gonna be quite hard!)
4. Better time management skills
5. Not sleep after 12 midnight!! :@
6. lastly, to be a better person in general.

edit:/ I realized that i actually set new year resolutions last year! let's see...

1. Be more self disciplined.
(hmm, in a sense, accomplished!)

2. Plan time properly.
(hmm i guess this one is not too bad, but can still be improved)

3. Learn how to work SMART.
(ehh... i'm not sure abt this.)

4. Find more time to do other stuff that I like.
(I guess this was ok, i managed to do quite alot last year!)

5. Watch less teevee (anw, xiao niang re is sad...)
(HAHAHA this is such a failure, i'm still addicted to tv :D)

6. Spend less time on computer. it's the ultimate time waster if you're not doing work.
(this is also a failure :O)

7. Spend less money.
(hmm i think this was ok :D)

8. Be more sociable.
(not too sure abt this, but i guess it was ok too? :D)

9. Be happier.
(yep yep!)

10.Be more decisive and stop worrying excessively.
(HAHA this is also another failure. let's just say that i am such a natural worry wart.)

11.Improve my humans and languages.
(ahh yes i did :D)

12.Be more alert about everything.

HELLO! i'm back from the US, erm new york and boston. :D wow i must say that this trip totally rocks although i really regret not buying more stuff, especially at the premium outlet D: Well, ok let me elab on the trip. It was super fun and this is my first time travelling to the west! :D we took a 22 hour flight there, which was not as bad as i thought it would be cos i spent alot of time sleeping/listening to music/watching shows. and i realized that i have lost touch with whatever movies are coming up/nice to watch. cos whenever kaiqing or whoever exclaims that a movie is nice, i'll be like huh, really ah :/ ok and in the end i even resorted to watching blues clues and dora the explorer haha!

anw, new york is super beautiful, especially at this time of the year (autumn-winter period) the trees are in all shades of colour, unlike singapore (we only have green, greener, greenest like we only have hot, hotter, hottest). the schools and universities there are also totally awesome lah! esp havard, brown and yale <3 i like the feel of the universities there. the buildings are giant and grand, even their dining hall is SUPER :D check facebook for pictures! but i'm not sure whether i want to study overseas cos i don't like leaving home for long periods of time O: anw, back to the trip. we also visited many "science-y" places like the sony wonder tech lab, new york hall of science, ammerican museum of natural history(the one they filmed night at the museum! :D) and manhattan school of math and science, where we got to know new friends! Ammericans are super friendly! :D OH and the cruise and visit to liberty island where we saw the statue of liberty!

rooming with yeeting and kaiqing was also very fun! i will miss the times we immitate yeeting's mum's "yeetingggg", yeeting rambling about what she regret not buying (this happens everytime), knocking on wang qian's door then running away, singing songs on the bus (and teaching yeeting how to sing long juan feng properly, which i don't think has suceeded yet...), eating 2 whole tubs of ben's and jerry's (it's super cheap there!), the cereal i eat every morning in the hotel etc... in short, I <3 NY! :D and i would definitely want to go back there again, maybe with family next time, then got more time and can buy more stuff.

After returning to Singapore, I've been jet lagging for the past few days but it's much better now. there was once i slept at 5am and woke up at 4pm. wow. :O i've also been enjoying the holidays so far, watching tv (channel 8 and 5 dramas) and using the comp. (: actually i feel very guilty cos it's like wasting my time away but i don't know what to do leh :/ i want to go source out some internship or work part time but i don't know where and when to start. :/ or maybe i should start reading JC stuff? haha i don't know D: i bet i'll end up procrastinating alot, as usual.

and i don't find anything wrong with watching channel 8 dramas!

HOLIDAYS are here whoo! :D but i've been going back to school everyday (YES EVERYDAY D: this week). life's busy, but good. :D and Os are over!

let's backtrack to guides farewell! thankyou HIBISCUS'09 for being such a wonderful patrol! and i really love the BIG card. it's pretty! i love you all too! <3 the farewell concert is not bad too! oh and the card/notes from the sec 1s and the gift from the sec 2s too:D

graduation day! surprisingly, i didn't feel that sad on the last day of sec 4 as compared to the last day of sec 2. i rmb on the last day of sec 2 the whole class was crying. mass crying session haha. maybe its cos we know we'll still be seeing one another very often especially since we still have o levels, grad night etc. but anw, graduation day was quite fun. took pictures around the school, level closure, got back souvenirs and report book etc.
level closure was the saddest part of the day cos some of the teachers' speeches were super moving. (: we also had farewell concert for ms yap. i love mrs claudine tan's item :D after school, went to island creamery (FOR THE FIRST TIME!) cos selina said that nanyang life is not complete without going there at least once. so we gathered all the so called "no-lifers" and headed there whoo! and i like the mudpie <3 yay! after that went to macs for ‘lunner’, then went back to school for grad ceremony. it was super super boring. ok i got nothing much to say for this. just that it was rather boring and it was hot stuck in the hall. :/

after grad day, we still had chinese lessons and HCL Os, which were erm, hopefully ok. :D and i still have to say that i like having exams in the hall :D

and after HCL Os, i still have to go to school everyday. ahh this is tiring but i hope everything will go smoothly and hope that it's worthwhile. :D (shall elab on this another day)

oh and finally, we had grad night yesterday! after going to school, headed to yijia's house to dress up + help make up! yay it was fun! and erm, i sort of learnt how to play bridge!(note: SORT OF) AND i finally won my first dai-dee this year(after losing so many rounds)! WHOO~ :D Anw, after that, yijia's mum drove us to hilton. overall it was not bad lah, quite fun, and food's not bad too :D just that there were too many dishes i cannot finish the last few. after that, got a lift home from june and her mum (: reached home and slept at 12+

then today i got up super early again to go to school. ahh sleep deprivation D:

AND I REALIZED that we are flying to US this coming monday, which is super fast leh :O SUPER FAST. but i'm looking forward to the trip (errrm but definitely not the flight cos its a super long 22 hours D:) ahh how i wish i have doraemon's ren yi men! then we can just skip the super long flight. i just hope i won't get motion sickness and throw up. :/

OH and looking forward to the K session after the trip with 404-ers and OH ele-kert too! :D OH and looking forward to tmr too. :D
